Accounting, finance, and banking programs prepare individuals to plan, manage, and analyze the financial performance of businesses, banks, or other organizations. Finance involves policy, strategy, and implementation of capital structure, budgeting, acquisition and investment, financial modeling and planning, funding, dividends, and taxation. Accounting involves activities such as bookkeeping and anaylsis of financial data to record, classify, summarize, analyze, and communicate financial information/business transactions for use in management decision-making. Banking involves accepting deposits, lending funds, and extending credit from commercial and local banks, credit unions to insurance companies, brokerage houses, and the internet.
